take on it<\/span><\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0as he shared, \u201c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">I recently learned about this term called quiet quitting, where you\u2019re not outright quitting your job but you\u2019re quitting the idea of going above and beyond,\u201d Khan says.<strong>\u00a0\u201cYou\u2019re still performing your duties, but you\u2019re no longer subscribing to the hustle-culture mentality that work must be your life. The reality is it\u2019s not. And your worth as a person is not defined by your labor.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">And thus, the phenomenon of #quietquitting was born.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">It\u2019s not a flash in the pan either. According to a study by Gallup,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff7900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff7900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gallup.com\/workplace\/398306\/quiet-quitting-real.aspx\">quiet quitters make up at least 50% of the U.S. workforce in an ever-increasing trend<\/a><\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, with the proportion of actively disengaged increasing to 18%. Unfortunately, in this case, the only way is up for the trend.
